Fountain of Youth

 Never get old

always stay fresh

it is the desire of every man

who feels he has aged

And seen so much, ugliness

so little beauty in innocence

And felt so many disappointments

in others, mostly in oneself

But he forgets he has a fountain within

if only he could listen to the whispers of memory

the sparks lost in the dark recess of his mind, still living

only a touch is all it needs for them to awaken

Bleeding Heart

There are holes in my heart

and when it pounds 

each moment is agony re-incarnate

I wish it would not beat

with each feeling chaotic 

unnerved by the presence of her beauty

I wish the perception of aesthetics 

I was never gifted with

to notice, her features each...

magnified

the scent of her perfume passing

her lazy shrug, so naturally charming

her grace, a presence so demanding

I wish I could not see, feel, ever notice

with the beating of my heart, bleeding

 There's a reason why

I can't simply lie

even if I wanted to...

It's because of your heart 

that is purer than the gold

I can't forget your kindness...

So that is the reason why

you are always in my mind

even when I try

to forget you...

you are not simple 

but a spark in the dark universe

where happiness I can find

And this is just one truth

I can tell to myself

before I live my life

a lie, true
